Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony got married this weekend to former MTV VJ LaLa Vasquez. The couple, who has a 3-year old son called Kiyan, got engaged back in 2004. And, after six years of waiting, the celebrity couple finally tied the knot on Saturday night at the Cipriani restaurant in Manhattan, NY. According to People.com, the wedding ceremony was filmed and will be aired on a VH1 reality show that follows the couple. Among the many famous guests who attended the ceremony were such famous sports figures as LeBron James, Chris Paul, Serena Williams, A’mare Stoudemire, and Lamar Odom; and such Hollywood celebs as Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Spike Lee, and Ludacris. An apparently exuberant Vasquez wrote on her Twitter page after the wedding, “Best night of my entire life. Thank u to all my family and friends who shared tonight with me. I love u. I’m on cloud 9 right now.”
Hollywood Collectibles would like to congratulate Carmelo Anthony and his new wife LaLa Vasquez on this happy time in their life together. In celebration of their wedding, we are offering a 10% off discount on all Carmelo Anthony memorabilia. Just mention this blog post and you can receive this limited-time discount! On Thursday night, 2-time NBA MVP LeBron James announced that he will be joining the Miami Heat. During a one-hour televised ESPN special called “The Decision,” James explained that the decision to leave Cleveland was very hard, “But the things that the Miami Heat franchise have done, to free up cap space and be able to put themselves in a position this summer to have all three of us [i.e., James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh], it was hard to turn down. Those are two great players, two of the greatest players that we have in this game today.” The reaction to this long-awaited announcement? Wade, who will soon be teaming up with James on the court, said, “”It’s going to be crazy… There’s magic in the number 3.” Chris Bosh tweeted, “I’m on cloud 9 right now! This is like a dream come true to play with” Wade and James. But not everyone is so excited about King James’ decision. In an open letter posted on the official Cleveland Cavaliers website, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert wrote, “Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us… You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal… I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE.” Talk about bitter. Despite the criticism that James is already receiving and will continue to receive for his decision to leave Cleveland, one thing seems certain: the Miami Heat will be an exciting team to watch next season.
To celebrate the decisions of Wade and Bosh (and now James) to play for the Miami Heat next season, Hollywood Collectibles is having a 33% off sale on all Dwyane Wade memorabilia and Miami Heat memorabilia. Don’t miss out on this great chance to buy some great basketball memorabilia at a great price!

We hope you didn’t miss Ray Allen’s record-breaking performance during Game 2 of the 2010 NBA Finals. But in case you did… Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics made NBA Finals history on Sunday by scoring the most three-pointers ever made in a Finals Game with 8. Amazingly, Allen scored the first seven three-pointers (thereby tying the all-time record aforementioned) before the end of the first half! But that’s not all. They were all consecutive shots! There is no better way to describe the historic performance than with the word ‘incredible.’ Allen is well-known, of course, for being an immensely talented and consisted three-point shooter (he currently trails only Reggie Miller for the all-time career record for most three-pointers made in regular season games), so the first three or four consecutive three-pointers that he made were not particularly surprising (even though they were as impressive as always). But when the fifth … and sixth… and seventh straight shot was made, you started to realize that you were watching NBA history being written by one of the greatest shooters of all time.
Would you like to own Ray Allen memorabilia? With basketball memorabilia from Hollywood Collectibles, you can memorialize the amazing achievements of your favorite players. We are currently having a 15% off Father’s Day sale, and with the NBA Finals in full swing, now is a great time to buy some great authentic signed sports memorabilia.

On Tuesday, we wondered whether the Orlando Magic still have a chance to win their Eastern Conference Finals series against the highly talented Boston Celtics. After having lost the first 3 games of the series (including 2 at Orlando), things weren’t looking so good for Orlando, who have yet to win an NBA Finals title (the Celtics franchise claims 17 Finals titles). It also doesn’t help that no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 0-3 playoff series deficit to win. But, despite all of this, the Magic repeated their Monday victory with another impressive win on Wednesday, this time beating the Celtics by 113-92 (a bigger point difference than their 96-92 victory on Monday). Dwight Howard, who led the Magic with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots, said, “I just feel that if we keep believing in each other and trusting one another and playing as hard as we can, anything’s possible.” Some might say that the Magic had it a bit easy in Game 5, considering all the detrimental issues that faced the Celtics, including 2 player concussions, foul trouble, and a player’s ejection from the game. It is doubtful, however, that the Orlando victory in Game 5 was nothing more than a fluke, since the Magic beat the Celtics on Tuesday when the Celtics didn’t have any of those issues plaguing their concentration. But the question still remains. Can Orlando defy all odds and win this series? We will just have to wait and see.

Hollywood Collectibles carries tons of great basketball collectibles, including plenty of sports memorabilia items that are hand-signed by various NBA playoff stars, including Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash, and others. On Monday night, the Orlando Magic beat the Boston Celtics 96-92 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Dwight Howard stepped up his game, after a relatively unimpressive first 3 games, leading his team in scoring with 32 and leading both teams in rebounds with 16 and in blocks with 4. Jameer Nelson also played a key role, delivering 9 assists and making two back-to-back clutch 3-pointers in overtime to help the Magic win the game. The impressive Orlando victory (which occurred at Boston) prevented a 4-0 Celtics series sweep and has many people wondering if the Magic still have a chance at winning the series. No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 0-3 playoff series deficit to win, but like Magic guard J.J. Reddick says, “You never know what can happen. We can be like the Red Sox, coming back from 0-3. You never know.” In fact, only 4 times in the entire history of North American professional sports leagues has a team come back from such a deficit to win, so the odds are really not in the Magic’s favor, but the Magic do not seem like they are giving up just yet. Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy said, “At some point, somebody is going to come from 3-0 down and win a series. The only thing I knew for sure was it would start by winning Game 4.”
Would you like to own authentic autographed Orlando Magic memorabilia? In a thrilling championship game, the Duke Blue Devils have won their fourth national title by defeating the Butler Bulldogs. Mike Krzyzewski is now tied with Adolph Rupp for the second most college basketball championships of all time.
Butler came incredibly close to ending their underdog story with a victory. In their second chance to win the game, Butler’s Gordon Hayward nearly sunk a buzzer beating halfcourt shot. Alas, the ball bounced off the backboard and hit the rim before just barely missing and Krzyzewski’s Duke won the game 61-59 to end a very exciting NCAA tournament.
Despite offering his “congratulations and empathy” to a heartbroken, yet proud Butler team, Coach K left the game with his and Duke’s fourth national championship. Hollywood Collectibles offers authentic Mike Krzyzewski memorabilia, including several autographed photos. Additionally, we carry an impressive supply of other college basketball memorabilia such as signed basketballs.

NBA star Kobe Bryant has been playing with the Los Angeles Lakers since 1999, the year that he made his NBA debut. On Friday, it was reported that he signed a contract extension to stay with the team for 3 more years. The deal is worth almost $90 million, with Bryant expected to receive over $30 million in each of the last 2 years of the extension. Considering that he led the Lakers to 4 NBA Finals victories, Bryant may very well be what the Lakers need to win another Championship title; they currently have a total of 15 NBA Finals titles under their belt, which makes them the second-most highly accomplished NBA franchise.
Kobe Bryant is an Olympic Gold Medalist, an NBA Finals MVP, and NBA MVP, and a 12-time NBA All-Star. “We played against a great team. It was such a well-played game, and we were fortunate to win.” Those were the words of coach Mike Krzyzewski after his Duke Blue Devils beat Baylor 78-71 to secure their place among the Final Four for the first time since 2004. The victory ended the longest Final Four drought that the team has suffered since 1986. Krzyzewski has led the Blue Devils to 3 Championship titles, and he may very well be on his way to winning a fourth title. If the Blue Devils can beat 2nd-seeded West Virginia on April 3rd, they can compete for their first championship title since 2001 in the national finals in Indianapolis.
Krzyzewski is widely regarded as one of the best college basketball coaches of all time, at least partly because he has led Duke to 11 Final Fours and 7 Championship games. Hollywood Collectibles offers you to the opportunity to celebrate the career of this amazing coach and college basketball team with Mike Krzyzewski memorabilia. With the end of March approaching and the final four NCAA basketball regional semifinals games scheduled for Friday night, it is a great time to review what has been going on lately with the Sweet 16. On March 25, we saw the first half of the regional semi’s, and we were entertained and surprised with what we saw. Butler stunned analysts by beating the top-seeded Syracuse 63-59 in a game that marked Butler’s 23rd straight win. In the other West Regional match-up, Kansas State beat Xavier 101-96 during double overtime in what Gregg Doyell of CBSSports.com has since called “one of the best games in the history of the Sweet 16.” In the East Regional semifinals, we saw top-seeded Kentucky beat Cornell 62-45. Cornell looked promising with an early 10-2 lead, but they could not ultimately hold off Kentucky, who will now compete for the school’s first Final Four appearance in over 40 years. We also saw West Virginia beat Washington 69-56 to achieve it’s highest win count (30) in the school’s history.
Tonight, eight more teams will compete for their spot in the regional finals of their respective region. The four winners of those four games will join Butler, Kansas State, West Virginia, and Kentucky as the Elite Eight, who will go on to compete for the championship title in the Final Four. These games are sure to be some of the best sporting events of the year, so be sure not to miss them. Join the March Madness!
