Founded in 1946, the Atlanta Hawks is the former team of such NBA legends as Dominique Wilkins, Lou Hudson, and Walt Bellamy. Since joining the NBA in 1949, they have won 4 conference titles, 14 division titles, and an NBA Finals Championship. The team has gone by several names, including the Tri-Cities Blackhawks, the Milwaukee Hawks, and the St. Louis Hawks. They were once coached by legendary NBA coach Red Auerbach. With their current roster, the Hawks are a strong force in the NBA.
