Do you know which 2-time Super Bowl Champion became the youngest quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl in 2006? The answer, if you didn’t know, is Ben Roethlisberger. Since he was drafted into the NFL by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004, Roethlisberger has been named a Steelers MVP, a Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, an AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and a Pro Bowl selection. In his rookie NFL season, Roethlisberger stepped in for an injured Tommy Maddox to help the Steelers become the first AFC team to achieve 15 wins in a single season. His 13-0 rookie season record easily surpassed the former Steelers record for best rookie start (6-0) and earned him a unanimous selection for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2005, during his sophomore season, Roethlisberger led the Steelers to their first Super Bowl title since 1979. Three years later, he led the Steelers to another Super Bowl victory. Since 2001, Ben Roethlisberger has set several college, NFL, and Steelers records, many of which he still holds. This precocious NFL great is widely considered to be one of the best players in the league.
