Autographed Wrestling Memorabilia and collector cards are wonderful ways to begin a collection for a kid just starting out in the hobby. Wrestling superstar cards are wildly popular and feature all your favorite stars of the ring. Sting, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, Mark Henry, Tugboat, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and the bad boys of the game. Pro wrestling began over 80 years ago, in the early days wrestling began as a carnival stunt when the carnival barker would showcase a large man that would wrestle a bear. For a nickel you got a few rounds of fun entertainment, what the audience didn’t know is that the poor bear had all of its teeth removed as not to harm the actor. To be honest professional wrestling was never scripted, it was all legit but the audiences were bored silly, that’s when theatrics were introduced into the sport and carnies began to write scripts, practice falls, and of course see the great champions of the day lose their title belts to lesser wrestlers to keep the attention of the fans. Today’s matches are very well scripted, almost like a television soap opera, the anticipation leads up to some of the largest events on Pay Per View television and Arenas filled to capacity. Legions of fans following these giant men, collecting their merchandise, buying tickets to their events, the merchandising of children’s clothing to t-shirts and apparel for adults.
